I stopped killing my ‘main’, or primary character (I control one character at a time I’m lazy), and started killing other neighbours. Gradually, however, I started falling in love with my character and saw him as a virtual representation of myself.
I was a child then and a life simulation where you got to torture and kill virtual people with real virtual feelings and emotions appealed to me (I was a pretty sick kid). It was a game where life was simulated through avatars called ‘Sims’ who’s looks, personality, character, lifetime wants and fears can be customised. I was addicted as soon as the first game of the first expansion was out for the first time. I am an avid fan of EA’s the Sims series.
